Bank payments
You have access to the payment buttons of all Finnish banks. You can pay with the payment buttons of Aktia, Danske Bank, Handelsbanken, Nordea, Oma Säästöpankki, Osuuspankki, POP-bank, S-bank, S-bank and Ålandsbanken. Your statement will show Paytrail as the payee, which will forward your payment to the online merchant. From the online shop, you will be redirected directly to your bank to make a secure payment.
Credit card payments
You can pay online with Visa, Visa Debit, Visa Electron, MasterCard, Debit MasterCard and American Express cards. The online shop uses international Verified by Visa, MasterCard SecureCode and American Express SafeKey authentication services. Paytrail appears as the payee on the card bill and forwards the payment card payment made by the customer directly to the merchant. Card payments are made securely using a secure payment form, and no payment card details are stored in the e-commerce systems.
Mobile payment methods
Mobile payment methods Pivo, MobilePay and Transfer are in-app services that allow you to pay for online purchases by transferring money from your account or by card payment from your card by accepting a payment in that app. Pivo also supports Transfer payments, allowing you to accept a payment in any application that supports Transfer.
The strong authentication requirement for card payments (PSD2), which comes into force on 1 January 2021, will bring changes to MobilePay payments. In future, customers paying with MobilePay can be directed to the strong authentication service of their card issuing bank via MobilePay. After authentication, the customer is returned to the MobilePay application and the online shop. The requirement for strong authentication for a single payment is always subject to the security regulations of the card issuing bank.
