Downtown gloves are for the style-conscious adult, suitable for both dressier outdoor wear and even a casual Sunday stroll.

The gloves are knitted with worsted and lace weight yarns held together, ensuring a warm, soft, and durable result. Indian thumb gussets are knitted alongside the palm. The pinky finger opening is lowered, which significantly improves the fit. The fingers are knitted with their own stitch counts, making the glove wonderfully snug.
Elastic thread worked into the purl side guarantees they stay on your hand and don't unpleasantly slip down. The shaping pleat adds extra elegance compared to a more common design.

Needles: 3.5 mm double-pointed needles
Yarns:
Heavy Merino – Knitting for Olive (50 g = 125 m), or other worsted-weight yarn:
Women: 50 g / 125 m / 1 skein Note: The women's size used just barely one skein. Depending on your gauge, you might need a second skein.
Men: 100 g /~ 200 m / just under 2 skeins
Soft Silk Mohair – Knitting for Olive (25 g = 225 m),
or other lace-weight fluffy yarn: 15 (20) g / 1 partial skein

Sew-in elastic thread, a tapestry needle, and scissors
