Anna & Eila is a Finnish yarn shop born out of a love for handicrafts, knitwear, and high-quality knitting yarns and accessories. We believe that a well-chosen yarn makes knitting a pleasure and the finished knitwear long-lasting and beloved—one that, at its best, endures from generation to generation, or at least as cherished memories (I still remember the beautiful yellow cardigan my mother knitted for me, which I wore in perhaps my very first kindergarten photo. The knitwear is unfortunately no longer with me, but the memory and the photo thankfully are).

We want to offer knitters an inspiring, reliable, and accessible yarn shop – a place where you can find carefully selected yarns for everyday knitting and special projects, for babies and grandpas alike.

The story of Anna & Eila begins with knitting. Moments when needles move in hands, yarn forms into stitches, and the work grows piece by piece. For us, knitting is more than a hobby – it's a way to relax, create, and express ourselves.

Our yarn shop was born from a desire to share this feeling with others:
a desire to offer knitting yarns that feel good in the hands, stand up to use, and make knitting genuinely enjoyable. At the same time, we want to encourage everyone to pick up their needles and knit whatever feels right for them. We hope as many people as possible discover the joy of handicrafts.

Our store in Vantaa

Our store is located in Varisto, Vantaa, at Martinkyläntie 54, in the same building as A-T Lastenturva. Within walking distance, you'll find, for example, Shopping Center Fresko, where you can find Eurokangas and the popular Bella second-hand store. Our store is located right along Kehä III (Ring Road III) and Vihdintie, making it easy to reach us from Helsinki – either by car or public transport.

Opening hours

• Monday to Friday, 2 PM–6 PM
• Saturdays, 10 AM–3 PM

Easy to reach by car
We are right near Kehä III and Vihdintie. There are free parking spaces available for customers (remember to use a parking disc and register at the lobby if you stay longer than 30 minutes).

Smooth public transport connections
You can also easily reach us by public transport, for example, by commuter train to Vantaankoski station and then by bus (335 Askisto) almost to the door (the nearest stop from Vantaankoski direction is Martinkyläntie 49).
