Anker's Summer Shirt is worked top-down. The yoke consists of sections of rib knit in the round, with increases made between the sections. Once the stockinette stitch begins, classic raglan increases are used. The sleeves are worked last, either using double-pointed needles or the Magic Loop technique. Anker's Summer Shirt is finished by weaving in the ends. Begin by knitting a swatch to determine the correct needle size to achieve the correct gauge. Note that the swatch should be wet and blocked before measuring the gauge.

The finished garment measurements are provided on the first page of this pattern (please note that the finished garment measurements will only match the pattern if the gauge is correct). To find the correct size, measure the widest part of your upper body (bust circumference) with a tape measure before you begin. Example: if your bust circumference is 95 cm, I recommend you knit size M. The bust circumference given for size M in the pattern is 96 cm, which for this example means 1 cm of positive ease.
