Knitting for Olive - Children's Olive Cardigan (English knitting pattern)

The Children's Olive Cardigan is a children's version of the popular adult Olive Sweater. The pattern is available in six different sizes (for ages 1-8 years). The cardigan is knitted with two strands of Knitting for Olive's Soft Silk Mohair held together with Knitting for Olive Merino, CottonMerino, or Pure Silk. For the finished Children's Olive Cardigan, you will need 3 (4, 4, 5, 5, 6) skeins of Soft Silk Mohair and 2 (2, 2, 3, 3, 4) skeins of Merino, CottonMerino, or Pure Silk.

Body circumference (BC): approx. 56 (62, 66, 74, 78, 86) cm

Yarn: Knitting for Olive Soft Silk Mohair (70% mohair, 30% silk; 225 m / 25 gr (lace); 3 (4, 4, 5, 5, 6) skeins + Knitting for Olive Merino or CottonMerino or Pure Silk (250 m / per 50 gr (fingering); 2 (2, 2, 3, 3, 4) skeins

Needles: 4 mm & 6 mm (4 mm & 7 mm, 4 mm & 6 mm, 5 mm & 7 mm, 5 mm & 6 mm, 5 mm & 7 mm) circular needles and DPNs (or according to gauge)

Gauge: 18 sts x 22 rows (16 sts x 20 rows, 18 sts x 22 rows, 16 sts x 20 rows, 18 sts x 22 rows, 16 sts x 20 rows) = 10 cm in pattern stitch according to chart A (A, J, J, O, O) on 6 (7, 6, 7, 6, 7) mm needles
