Sandnes Garn 2502-07a Mindy sweater, Finnish knitting pattern

The Sandnes Garn Mindy Sweater is knitted top down with double yarn, either two strands of SUNDAY yarn held together, or one strand of SUNDAY yarn and one strand of TYNN SILK MOHAIR yarn held together.

NOTE! The pattern can only be purchased with a Sandnes Garn yarn purchase. The pattern order must also include at least the minimum amount of yarn required for the pattern. The knitting pattern is a Finnish instruction booklet.

Sizes: XS-2XL. The sizes in the table are indicative only, and it is recommended to take measurements of the person wearing the garment and compare them to the table's measurements. The stated measurements are based on the gauge given in the pattern.

Recommended needles: 3mm and 3.5mm

More detailed description of the pattern

The work begins by casting on stitches for the back piece, which is knitted flat with short rows and increases to form a sloping shoulder. Next, stitches are picked up from the cast-on edge of the back piece for the front pieces. The front pieces are initially knitted flat separately, with stitches increased for shaping the neckline. After this, the front pieces are joined, and knitting continues until below the armholes.
The front and back pieces are joined into a round, after which knitting continues to the hem. The hem is finished with ribbing.
The sleeves are knitted in stockinette stitch in the round, starting from the armholes. Decreases are made on the sleeves, and the cuffs are finished with ribbing.
Finally, the collar is knitted.
