Pattern description

The Hilda Sweater is started by casting on stitches for the back piece and then adding stitches on both sides for the sloped shoulder. The back piece is knitted until below the armholes.
Next, stitches are picked up from the cast-on edge of the back piece for the right and left front pieces. The front pieces are knitted separately at first, while increasing stitches to shape the neckline. After this, the front pieces are joined into one piece and knitting continues until below the armholes.
The front and back pieces are joined into a round and knitting continues until the hem. The hem is bound off by knitting ribbing.
The sleeves are knitted in the round, starting from the armholes, and the top of the sleeve is shaped with short rows. The cuffs are bound off by knitting ribbing.
Finally, a ribbed collar is knitted for the neckline, which is folded in half to the wrong side.
