The PetiteKnit Ivy Top is knitted top-down. The first section of the work involves knitting shoulder increases and short rows. After that, the upper parts of the front and back pieces are knitted separately flat. The front and back pieces are joined at the armhole, and the body is knitted in the round on circular needles. First, make a swatch to determine the correct needle size. Wash the swatch before measuring, as the recommended yarn stretches when washed and worn.

Instructions for choosing a size

The circumference of the top should be approximately 6 cm smaller than your bust circumference (so-called negative ease). Sizes XXS (XS) S (M) L (XL) 2XL (3XL) 4XL (5XL) are designed to correspond to a bust circumference of 75–80 (80–85) 85–90 (90–95) 95–100 (100–110) 110–120 (120–130) 130–140 (140–150) cm. The measurements of the finished top are given on the front page of the pattern (please note that the measurements are valid only if the given gauge is followed). Measure yourself before starting the work to choose the correct size. Example: if your bust circumference (or the widest part of your upper body) is 90 cm, choose size S. The bust circumference of the size S top is 84 cm, which is 6 cm less than your own bust circumference.
