The PetiteKnit Eva Cardigan is knitted from the top down. First, the upper part of the back yoke is knitted flat with increases. Then, stitches are picked up for the shoulders from the top edge of the back yoke. From the shoulders, stitches are picked up for the rest of the yoke, which is knitted in the round. The V-neck is shaped with increases. The lower body is knitted flat on circular needles, and the sleeves are knitted in the round. Finally, stitches are picked up for the wide front band, which is knitted in 2x2 ribbing.
Instructions for choosing your size
The cardigan has approximately 26 cm of positive ease in smaller sizes, gradually decreasing slightly in larger sizes. Sizes XXS (XS) S (M) L (XL) 2XL (3XL) 4XL (5XL) are designed to fit a bust circumference of 75–80 (80–85) 85–90 (90–95) 95–100 (100–110) 110–120 (120–130) 130–140 (140–150) cm. The measurements of the finished cardigan are listed on the first page of the pattern. Please note that the measurements are accurate only if the given gauge is followed. Measure yourself before starting the project to choose the correct size. Example: if your bust circumference (or the widest part of your upper body) is 90 cm, choose size S. The bust circumference of a size S cardigan is 116 cm, meaning in this case there would be 26 cm of positive ease.
