The PetiteKnit Dagmar Zipper Sweater is knitted top-down in a textured pattern. First, the upper back is knitted flat, shaped with increases. Then, each shoulder is knitted separately from stitches picked up from the back. The body is knitted in the round on circular needles. The sleeves are knitted in the round on circular needles from stitches picked up from the armholes. Finally, the ribbed collar and double-knit edgings are knitted, to which the zipper is attached.

First, knit a gauge swatch to determine which needle size will give you the required stitch density in the textured pattern. The swatch can be made according to the chart provided in the pattern.

The sweater has approximately 26 cm of positive ease, meaning its circumference should be about 26 cm larger than your bust circumference. The measurements of the finished sweater are stated on the front page of the pattern. Measure yourself before starting the project to choose the correct size. Example: if your bust circumference (or the widest part of your upper body) is 90 cm, choose size S. The bust circumference of a size S sweater is 116 cm, meaning in this case, there would be 26 cm of positive ease.
