The Agnete Cardigan is knitted top-down in brioche stitch. First, the neckband of the back neck is knitted in double knitting, which then continues into the front panels as a front band. Next, stitches are picked up along the edge of this section for the top of the back panel. After the upper back, the right and left front panels are knitted separately flat. The pieces are joined after the armholes to form the body, which is knitted flat in brioche stitch. The edgings are knitted simultaneously in double knitting. Buttonholes are worked into the button band. The sleeves are knitted in the round on circular needles from stitches picked up at the armholes.

Instructions for choosing your size

The cardigan has approximately 10–15 cm of positive ease, meaning its circumference should be about 10–15 cm larger than your bust circumference. Sizes XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL (4XL) 5XL are designed to fit a bust circumference of 80–85 (85–90) 90–95 (95–100) 100–110 (110–120) 120–130 (130–140) 140–150 cm. The measurements of the finished cardigan are provided on the front page of the pattern. Measure yourself before starting the project to ensure you choose the correct size. Example: if your bust circumference (or the widest part of your upper body) is 90 cm, choose size S. The bust circumference of a size S cardigan is 105 cm, meaning in this case, there would be 15 cm of positive ease.
