The Baby Bear balaclava is a sweet and warm balaclava for children. The balaclava is knitted with two strands of yarn held together, providing good warmth for the head and neck. The Silk Mohair is not knitted right to the edge of the garment, so the fluffy yarn is not too close to the child's face. The Baby Bear balaclava is knitted in one piece and shaped with short rows. The pattern includes two different versions for the neck section - a ribbing version and a "wider" version that also warms the neck and chest.

Sizes: 6-12, 12-24 months, 2-4Y, 4-8Y
Head circumference: 43-48 (48-51, 51-53, 53-56) cm
Needles: 3.5mm circular needles (cable length 40cm and 60cm), 3.5mm double-pointed needles (or according to your gauge), and 2.5mm needles for Italian bind-off.
Gauge: 23 sts x 34 rows = 10x10cm (on 3.5mm needles, both yarns knitted together)
Yarn: 1 strand Knitting for Olive Merino or CottonMerino 1 (1, 1, 1) ball AND 1 strand Knitting for Olive Soft Silk Mohair 1 (1, 1, 1) ball
