Who the pattern is for
The Cinema Sweater knitting pattern is suitable for knitters who want to make a high-quality and well-fitting sweater themselves. The pattern is well-suited for:
- knitting an everyday sweater
- layering
- a timeless wardrobe
The sweater is knitted seamlessly from top to bottom in stockinette stitch, so you can adjust the length to your liking. The top is knitted using German short rows to raise the back and achieve a beautiful fit for the neckline. After that, the top is knitted in the round, simultaneously increasing for raglan sleeves. The stitches for the sleeves are placed on hold while the body is knitted, and the sleeves are knitted one by one in the round at the end.
Difficulty level: Advanced Easy ★★☆☆
"The Cinema sweater was born because I wanted (and needed) a really simple and oversized sweater that would be both relaxing to knit and comfortable to wear. I decided to name it the Cinema sweater – I was inspired by Harry Styles' song of the same name – because I think it's the perfect sweater for a relaxed movie night and at the same time it's effortlessly stylish. The sleeves are extra long and wide, which gives the sweater a modern look." - Kutovakika
