Aava -shawl is a simple garter stitch triangular shawl (yay, no purl stitches!) with yarn over stripes knitted in a contrasting color. Perfect for mini skeins and scrap yarns.

The Aava -shawl pattern was made in collaboration with yarnbylaurelknits. The pattern is a downloadable product in Finnish.

YARN

1 skein yarnbylaurelknits SuperSock (85% merino, 15% nylon; 400m per 100g skein)
1 set (5 mini skeins) yarnbylaurelknits Merino Minis (85% merino, 15% nylon; 80m per 20g skein).

OR 100g (400m) of fingering weight yarn in main color + 5 different fingering weight contrasting colors in the following amounts (amounts include a little extra):

CC1: 5g (20m)
CC2: 5.5g (22m)
CC3: 6g (24m)
CC4: 7g (28m)
CC5: 7.5g (30m)

NEEDLES
3.5mm circular needles (100cm or longer).

GAUGE
19 stitches and 20 rows = 10cm in garter stitch with 3.5mm needles, after blocking.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
Approx. 139cm at the widest point and 65cm from neck to tip of shawl.

OTHER SUPPLIES
