The yarn is high-quality, but ethically produced (Cruelty Free) - The silk fibers are collected from the cocoons only after the larvae have developed into butterflies, i.e. the larvae are not killed in the production process. The mohair in the yarn comes from Angora goats that are raised in South Africa. All Knitting for Olive yarns are traceable meaning that they know exactly what farms their yarns come from.
